BIO 330 : Medical Cell Biology

This course will focus on the structure and function of human cells (human cell biology) with particular emphasis on the context of human health and disease. Lectures focus on normal functions at the molecular and cellular level drawn from the primary literature. The lab will include tissue culture and presentations of the primary literature. Topics include molecules, organelles, cells, cell interactions, regulation, signaling, and death. Examples of known monogenic and polygenic disease mechanisms will be discussed.
